Terms of Use

These terms govern access to the public ShellAccess website and, unless superseded by a signed customer agreement, pilot, evaluation, and early-access use of the ShellAccess service.

Current service status

ShellAccess is still in active buildout. These terms are intended to give the service a clear public baseline now. If ShellAccess later enters a signed customer agreement, order form, or separate commercial schedule with you or your organisation, that signed agreement will control where it conflicts with this page.

Using the service

You may use ShellAccess only for legitimate evaluation, administration, support, and operational access to devices and environments you are authorised to manage. You are responsible for keeping account credentials, enrollment material, and any issued agent packages under appropriate control.

Authorised users and tenant responsibility

  • tenant owners and administrators are responsible for who is invited into their tenant;
  • operators must only access devices and sessions they are authorised to work on; and
  • you must not share access tokens, enrollment keys, or administrative credentials in a way that bypasses intended controls.

Service boundaries

ShellAccess is a managed remote-shell product. It is not a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, universal device compatibility, or a substitute for your own internal change control, security review, or incident procedures.

Features, limits, and policies may change during pilots, early access, and pre-general-availability stages.

Acceptable conduct

You must comply with the Acceptable Use Policy. ShellAccess may suspend or restrict access where use appears abusive, unsafe, unlawful, or inconsistent with the intended managed-device administration model.

Customer data and privacy

Privacy handling is described separately in the Privacy Notice. Where session features generate audit data, session history, or transcript material, that data remains subject to tenant configuration, platform security controls, and applicable law.

Intellectual property

ShellAccess, ShellAssist, the website, the service design, and related branding remain the property of ShellAccess except for customer data and third-party components used under their own licenses.

You may not copy, reverse engineer, redistribute, or repackage the service or agent beyond what is reasonably required for authorised internal evaluation or operation, unless a separate written agreement allows it.

Feedback

If you choose to send feedback, bug reports, or product suggestions, ShellAccess may use that feedback to improve the service without owing you payment or exclusivity.

Suspension and termination

ShellAccess may suspend or terminate access where necessary to protect the service, other tenants, the platform, or third parties. Reasons may include security risk, non-payment where applicable, clear misuse, or unlawful activity.
